Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has held the top spot for another week putting it in the top spot for seven weeks running setting a record for 2017.
With a few weeks without any new releases, last week saw a number of new games hit the shelves, however none seem to be able to shake the stranglehold Crash Bandicoot has on the UK gaming industry.
Deep Silver’s Agents of Mayhem fails to impress landing in fourth place, City Skylines: PlayStation 4 Edition hits twentieth place (beating its Xbox One counterpart), and there seems to be one notable absence… Sonic Mania.
This is because the UK Gaming Charts only considers boxed releases, not digital. That’s why last week we didn’t see Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice in the charts, and the same for Sonic Mania this week, however according to SEGA, if digital sales were to be counted, the new Sonic game would be in the top spot by “quite some margin”.
