Halo Wars 2 is set to see the return of the Flood, when its upcoming DLC, Awakening the Nightmare, launches September 26, 343 Industries has announced.
Awakening the Nightmare is set to bring back the Flood to the franchise, through new campaign missions set just months after the end of the events of the base game. These new missions will follow the perspective of The Banished, as well as adding 2 new multiplayer leaders and maps. The maps will be available for free to anyone who owns Halo Wars 2.
alongside this, it was also mentioned that that Halo Wars 2, and Halo 5: Guardians will have support for Xbox One X, meaning that the titles will be able to run in 4K.
Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare will be available on both Xbox One and PC when it launches September 26.
