A new trailer for Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 has been unveiled at Gamescom showing more of the game in action.
The trailer shows the new hub world of ‘Chronopolis’ which appears to feature classic Marvel locations from across time and space all in one city. Gone are the days of the ‘New York City’ hub, players will now be able to explore a huge number of well-known locations ranging from familiar areas such as Asgard, to much more unfamiliar areas such as Knowhere, Wakanda, Ancient Egypt, K’un-lun and the Old West. This really is just the tip of the Iceberg though, with at least another 10 locations listed in the trailer.
Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 will see the superheroes face Kang the Conqueror across time. Many of the characters present in the first game, like Doctor Strange, Thor and Hulk, will be present in the sequel, with additional characters thrown in too. The trailer shows off Cowboy Captain America in the Old West map and Spider-Man 2099 from a future version of New York.
The Lego themed humour and charm that we’re all so familiar with is also present in the trailer – what’s not to love? As with previous Lego Marvel games, the game will feature multiplayer options allowing up to four players to play together locally.
