With the season opener coming ever closer, EA Sports have announced that Madden NFL 18 will be released on August 25 for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. For those who don’t wish to wait that long, there are a couple of ways in which you can gain access to the game early.

Through EA Access, with a Play First trial going live August 17, a week before the games release. While Madden 17’s Play First trial allowed 10 hours of gameplay, it is not yet announced how much of Madden 18 players will be granted access to. Players with EA Access can also enjoy a 10% discount on their purchase of the full game.

While EA Access is only available to Xbox One users, fans over on the PlayStation 4 can still gain access to Madden 18 early, through the games G.O.A.T. Edition. This edition of the game unlocks on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One August 22, 3 full days before the games full release of August 25. The G.O.A.T. Edition also grants players a number of bonuses for the games Ultimate Team mode, including an Elite-level player, 2,500 contracts, a uniform pack, and 12 Squad Packs.

Tom Brady, Quarter Back for the New England Patriots, features as the cover star for Madden 18, marking the second year in succession that a Patriots player has graced the cover, after Rob Gronkowski in 2017.
