Here’s a Closer Look at Vaulting in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds

Bluehole have released another glimpse at the upcoming vaulting mechanic coming to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) in the coming weeks, which could be a game changer.

Announced during E3 earlier this year, the vaulting mechanic has been a long-time coming. Currently, players are limited to either trying to jump over small obstacles, or simply going around, which isn’t much fun when you’re being chased by gun fire or the dreaded blue wall.

Now, it looks like the ability to vault and mantle over walls is coming ever closer in a new video from the game’s developers. What’s more, it shows something pretty interesting which will be a game changer, especially for the game’s new first-person mode.

The video, which you can see below, shows a work-in-progress look at the mechanic, and you’ll notice one thing, players can choose to cancel the mechanic half way through allowing them to peek over higher walls, and in first-person mode, where things can get a little tight, this will be a God-send.

We currently have no ETA on when this mechanic will arrive, but we’re all pretty excited to see how this might change things, especially now we’d be able to reach more unreachable places in the game, such as rooftops and on top of crates.

The next big update for the game is due at the end of the month.
