Secret of Mana is Getting a Remaster

Following rumours, Square Enix has announced that the classic action RPG, Secret of Mana is being remastered for the PS4, PS Vita, and Steam.

Set to launch on February 15, 2018, Secret of Mana will receive revamped visuals as the Mana-filled world will be rebuilt in 3D for the first time, as well as upgraded gameplay that’ll bring new life to the game. The game initially launched back in 1993 and became known as one of the best RPGs of all time, so it’s fantastic that Square are bringing the game to a modern audience.

Players will embark on an unforgettable adventure as Randi, along with his two companions, Primm and Popoi, as they face-off against an empire to reclaim the magical power of Mana, bringing the world back to peace.

In addition, a newly arranged musical score and voiced characters will be added to the game as well as several core-scenes from the story being visualised in-game.

Secret of Mana will be available digitally on PS4 and PS Vita. Those who pre-order the game on the PlayStation Store will receive the following character costumes as well as a selection of character avatars:

  • Moogle Suit for Randi, Primm and Popoi
  • Tiger Two-Piece for Primm
  • Tiger Suit for Randi and Popoi

Those who pre-order on Steam and purchase the Day 1 Edition will receive the three character costumes as well as a custom downloadable wallpaper.
