Ubisoft’s open world winter sports giant Steep, is still coming to the Nintendo Switch, and is currently in the optimisation phase of the games development.
In a post on Twitter Ubisoft announced that the game is currently still being optimised, but is currently suffering from frame-rate issues, which are stopping the game from being launched in its current state. In a post responding to a follower, a lighting/3D artist from Ubisoft tweeted:
Non il est encore en phase d'optimisation. Le framerate joue au yoyo donc impossible de le sortir dans l'etat actuel mais le jeu n'est pas 🔪

“No, it’s still in the phase of optimisation. The frame-rate plays “yo-yo” so [it’s] impossible to get it out in the current state, but the game is not [dead].” (post has been translated from French using Google)
Steep is not the only third party sports title set to release on the Switch, with FIFA 18 and WWE 2K18 also set for release on the console. Steep is currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with no word currently on a finalised release date on the Switch.
