In a new collaboration between sim racing giants Thrustmaster and Racing legends Sparco, the new Thrustmaster TS-XW Racer Sparco P301: Competition Wheel (Jesus that’s a name and a half) is intended to increase Thrustmaster’s standing in the E-Sports racing scene.
Based around the previous TS-PC Racer wheelbase, the new Thrustmaster TS-XW features a 1:1 scale replica of the real Sparco P310 sports steering wheel, wrapped in genuine suede leather.
The wheel also features 2 large adjustable wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Ecosystem-ready, the wheel can easily be detached from the Thrustmaster TS-XW servo base thanks to the Thurstmaster Quick Release system. Featuring 14 action buttons as well as 1 directional pad with a push button function, including all button actions from the Xbox one controller, to allow for ease of menu access. Finally the wheel can be customised to rotate through 270-1080 degrees.
The wheel itself comes with the same Turbo-shaped power supply as the TS-PC Racer, and features their T3PA pedal set. Set to retail at £649.99 it would be nice to at least see this wheel come equipped with the T3PA Pro pedals, especially as they’re aiming at the esports market.
The Thrustmaster TS-XW Racer Sparco P301: Competition Wheel is set for release September 22, compatible with both Xbox One and PC.
