SEGA has announced that Yakuza 6 will be coming to the west on March 20, 2018 for PS4 in both Europe and North America.
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life as it’s called in the west, will be the final chapter for the game’s protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, also know as the Dragon of Dojima’s. The game itself will follow after the events of Yakuza 5. It’ll launch both physically and digitally and will be the most technologically advanced Yakuza title to date thanks to the “Dragon Engine”.
This new engine was designed specifically for the PS4 and offers graphical and design changes. One of these major changes was the ability for players to enter and exit combat without having to load battle arenas.
In addition, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will feature a ton of mini-games from Karaoke, batting cages, darts, and much much more.
A standard edition of the game will be available both physically and digitally as well as an After Hours Premium Edition which will come with a bunch of physical goodies such as an art book, two shot glasses, ice stones for cooling drinks, two coasters, and a box to keep it all in tact. If you’re not a big drinker, you might be after you play this game…
A limited launch edition of the game will also be available that’ll add a hardcover art book which doubles as the disc case.
FINALLY, a new localised gameplay trailer is available which you can see below:
