Total War: Warhammer 2 PC Specifications Revealed

Developer The Creative Assembly have shared the minimum and recommended PC specifications for its upcoming fantasy-strategy title Total War: Warhammer 2, which is set to roll out on September 28.

In the press release revealing the specs, The Creative Assembly also revealed that at this point Total War: Warhammer 2 is the most pre-ordered Total War game to date.

“We’re in the final stage of development now and very excited by the comments coming out of our closed testing and mock reviews,” said Rob Bartholomew, Brand Director, “loads of love for the new features, races and the sheer volume of gameplay. Great to see that expectation reflected in the number of pre-orders being placed, it really helps motivate us for that final push.”

PC minimum specifications:
Players can expect to pull around 25-35 fps on the campaign map and in 1 vs 1 play, 20 vs 20 units battle, default graphics preset low, running at 1280×720.

  • RAM: 4-5 GB
  • Install size: 60 GB
  • Video Card: Nvidia GTX 460 1 GB/AMD Radeon HD 5770 1 GB/Intel HD4000 at 720p

PC recommended specifications:
Players can expect to pull around 45-55 FPS on the campaign map and in 1 vs 1 play, 20 vs 20 units battle, default graphics preset high, running at 1920×1080.

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4570 3.0 Ghz
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Install size: 60 GB
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2 GB/AMD Radeon R9 270x 2 GB at 1080p

PC 60 plus FPS specifications:
Players can expect 60+ FPS on the campaign map and 1 vs 1 play, 20 vs 20 units battle, default graphics preset ultra, running at 1920×1080.

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0 Ghz
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Install size: 60 GB
  • Video card: Nvidia GTX 1070 8 GB

Creative Assembly have also revealed some graphical features of the game, including a new volumetric fog system that thickens the air (producing light ray effects), a new sharpening filter, improved Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), and impressive wet surfaces.

Total War: Warhammer is set for release on PC September 28.
