Thanks to the Bungie Blog we now know when we can expect the return of our favourite tentacle faced friend, Xur, along with a load of other events to finish out the month of September.
After seeing a successful launch of Destiny 2, Bungie has released a detailed first month guide to keep us Guardians up to date. The two most asked about and anticipated events will begin next week! Starting September 13, Destiny 2’s first raid, “The Leviathan”, will go live. Following this is the return of our exotics merchant, Xur, on Friday September 15. As far as we know, Xur will make his weekly appearances every Friday moving forward.
In addition, we may start to learn some backstory about Xur’s employers, The Nine, in the weekly events, “Trials of the Nine”. The Faction Rally, another new weekly event, looks like it will encompass the first games three factions, Future War Cult, the New Monarchy, and Dead Orbit.
On top of this, each week players will get a new Nightfall event and a Flashpoint location. These new quests are full of high level rewards which can be completed by participating and beating public events. Guided Games for the Raid will also begin as an extension of the game’s Clan features.
Bungie has also promised the return of the Iron Banner and extensions to the Raid(s). Though we don’t know what is in store for us in October, we certainly won’t be growing bored of anything with this busy, action packed schedule!
