While it feels like forever since it was announced, Battlefield 1: in the Name of the Tsar is set for release on September 5 for Premium Pass holders, and September 19 for everyone else. The DLC will feature a new game mode as well as 6 new maps.
In the Name of the Tsar is set to bring the Russians into the games conflict, including the infamous ‘Women’s Battalion of Death’, the first time that a female character will be playable in the franchise. The new game mode entitled ‘Supply Drop’, will see players fighting on the Eastern Front, which will see players competing to gain access to supply drops for a chance to gain powerful weapons to dispatch the enemy. There will also be a new special class added, the Hussar, which will allow see players on horseback armed with lances.
One of the DLC’s maps, Lupkow Pass, is already available for premium players, and is set on the perilous mountains of Poland. The remaining maps, Albion, Galicia, Brusilov Keep, Tsaritsyn, and Volga River, all feature their own unique setups, giving players multiple ways to tackle the objective at hand.
In the Name of the Tsar will be available to premium pass holders on September 5, and will go on general sale September 19. Battlefield 1 is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
