Ubisoft has revealed details of an upcoming update titled Resistance, that’ll be coming to The Division this Autumn bringing even more content to an already jam-packed game.
Update 1.8, also know as Resistance, is a free update coming to The Division, will be the biggest update to the game so far, that’ll introduce two new modes, a West Side Pier expansion complete with two zones, and a new “Camp Clinton” social space. The update will also add more to the game’s story.
These two new zones in the West Side Pier map expansion will introduce a new faction, one which is made up of all of the defeated factions within The Division’s main campaign.
“Defeated factions were last seen converging towards the sector and seem to have started working together for the first time,” Ubisoft said. “The Division must investigate the area to confirm that factions are indeed forging an alliance and determine the reason for their sudden interest in this location.”
This map expansion will also be home to the game’s two new modes: Resistance, which is a PvE mode where players must fend off waves of enemies from all of the game’s factions; and Skirmish, a four vs. four deathmatch-style mode where players ramp up as many kills as possible before time expires.
Finally a couple of other changes are coming, namely to the game’s Underground DLC, as well as the addition of the new Camp Clinton social space, changes to the game’s rogue mechanic, and optimisations of the gear system.
