612 Games has announced that the closed alpha for their highly anticipated western MMO, Wild West Online, will begin on September 15.
With many already suggesting that Wild West Online will overshadow Rockstar’s upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2, at least for the PC market, players have been pretty excited to see more of the game, and it looks like that time is almost upon us.
Wild West Online is an upcoming western MMO where players are free to explore the game’s wild-west setting. However players are free to fall into roles from lawmen to outlaws as they explore the vast landscape and take part in PvP, PvE, and resource gathering missions.
“It’s been a whirlwind since we revealed Wild West Online and everyday our fans are asking when they can jump into the game,” said Stephan Bugaj, Chief Creative Officer of 612 Games. “We’re thrilled to soon give PC gamers an initial taste of the western game that both they and ourselves have been waiting for.”
A series of alpha tests are to take place in the run up to launch, and 612 Games are inviting players to help shape the outcome of the game through the Closed Alpha. For more information players are invited to head on over to the game’s website.
