Fortnite PvE Announces Challenge the Horde Mode

A brand-new mode is coming to Fortnite’s “Save the World” PvE mode on October 5 called Horde Bash, and it’ll challenge players with crafting with limited resources.

Coming October 5, Horde Bash will arrive as a free update to Fortnite that’ll bring a handful of new Husks for players to defeat as well as some new weapons, Heroes, and much more.

Challenge The Horde is a brand new mode that’ll have players each creating their own portable horde fort. Players will have unlimited time to do this, but limited resources to work with. Once completed they can then hop into the game with three friends where each of their pre-made forts will be ready and waiting.

As players take on the Challenge The Horde mode and succeed, more resources will become available as well as other rewards, to further kit out their forts for further survival.

In addition to the new mode, a brand new Event Llama will be available called The Scavenger Llama. This Llama will hold four new Heroes, nine weapons, and two new Defenders. Players can earn Scavenger currency by completing quests and playing the new Horde mode.

As for the new heroes, players can expect to find the following new Scavenger heroes with their own unique perks:

  • Raider Soldier – Loves the shotgun and close encounters.
  • Ammo Harvest Outlander – If you need ammo, this is your Hero.
  • Trap Specialist Constructor – Get a damage boost & durability boost.
  • Energy Thief Ninja – Generates and leeches energy from melee combat.
    And More!

The update will also feature new progression quests as well as even more rewards from Scavenger tickets for Legendary items.
