PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Leaderboard Reset on Hold

PUBG Corp has announced that the leaderboards in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) won’t be reset as usual and will be going on hold while they work on stability issues.

Over the past couple of week’s PUBG’s concurrent players have been rising which have finally started to cause strain on the game’s servers. Having issued an apology, it looks like things are being put on hold as the developers work on making sure the game is stable as more and more players continue to parachute into the world.

In a post on the game’s website, the developer revealed that the game’s leaderboards won’t be reset as usual today and will instead be going on hold for a week.

“Our concurrent users have been increasing rapidly, and we are genuinely concerned that we may not be able to provide you with a comfortable and seamless gaming experience by starting the new season immediately,” they wrote.

“In order to deliver a more reliable service, we would like to make some back end improvements.”

From today, the leadarboards are being reset and a new season won’t begin until October 17. That’ll give the developers a week to stabilise the game before beginning another season. During this time players can continue to play the game however their results will go unmeasured.

PUBG continues to be an enormous success as concurrent player users almost hit the 2 million mark this weekend.
