For a sequel to a classic eighties film, The Predator has stayed strangely below the radar. There has not been a lot of news since filming wrapped in June, until now.
At the Brand Licensing Expo in London, a poster for The Predator was spotted at Fox’s display stand. Instagram user Dirtees was quick to snap a picture and post it online for fellow fans.
The Predator mask is outlined in lightning and it appears to be striking a city, suggesting that the setting will be more urban than not. However, there don’t seem to be any discernible landmarks in this poster that link it to any particular city, and a few behind-the-scenes photos by Jarrod Au reveal some forest shoots.

Although much of the information available for The Predator is fragmented, it is well-known that Shane Black is directing, and the major cast consists of Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Olivia Munn (The Newsroom), Trevente Rhodes (Moonlight), Sterling K. Brown (This is Us), Jacob Tremblay (Room), and Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peel). Black has also spoken of a need for an “expansion” of the scale and mythology of The Predator in relation to its predecessors.
The Predator will be released on August 3, 2018.
