More information has surfaced about the upcoming Bumblebee Transformers spin-off and for fans of a certain Autobot, it’s pretty exciting news.
The upcoming Bumblebee movie is heading back to the 80s for a nostalgic Transformers movie telling the origin story of the fan favourite (who’ll be reprising his original yellow VW Bug form), and while we’ve heard that it won’t be as action packed as the main series, there’s word that another fan favourite will be making an appearance.
According to Optimus Prime’s voice actor, Peter Cullen, in an interview with CineMovie, he’ll be lending his voice once again to Optimus Prime in the upcoming spin-off. However it’s currently unknown whether Prime will actually be making an appearance or whether he’ll only be heard.
It’s also likely that, due to the movie being focused on Bumblebee, Optimus Prime may only have a minor role. At the end of the day, we don’t want him to steal the show again, do we?
In other Bumblebee news, Haliee Stinefeld has shared with us another behind the scenes photo from the movie showing off Bumblebee’s steering wheel which has the Autobot emblem slapped right in the centre:
The upcoming Bumblebee spin-off is set to hit theatres in December, 2018.
