During Sony’s Paris Games Week showcase last night, Activision decided to unveil Call of Duty: WW2‘s first DLC, The Resistance.
Now this is pretty unconventional. We haven’t even gotten our hands on Call of Duty: WW2 yet and we have no real idea what content is included in the game. We aren’t familiar with the maps or weapons aside from those included in the beta, so there’s plenty of discovery to do.
So it strikes me as odd when Activision and Sony decide to announce that the game’s first DLC pack, The Resistance, will be coming first to PlayStation 4 on January 30. We’re already pretty familiar with Activision and Sony’s partnership, but do they feel the need to flaunt it so hard that they’re announcing DLC before the game has even launched?
Anyway. For those interested in knowing all there is to know about this additional content for Call of Duty: WW2, The Resistance will come with new maps based in France, Czechoslovakia, and Poland, according to the brief teaser trailer released. There’ll likely be another map included in there too as well as an expansion to the game’s Nazi Zombie story line.
Check out the trailer below, which mostly highlights the Carentan bonus map you’ll receive if you purchase the season pass. Hold out until the end when we get a brief tease of The Resistance DLC:
Call of Duty: WW2 will be released on November 3.
