THQ Nordic have announced the return of de Blob. Following its recent revival on PC, the publisher, along with BlitWorks have now ported the game to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
de Blob first found its feet on iOS in 2008 and made a splash. It then found its way onto Wii later that year. From then, we heard very little about the paint splashing game. That is until THQ went under in 2012 and the IP found its way to Nordic Games. Since then however, Nordic Games became THQ Nordic and released de Blob on PC this April.
The news doesn’t stop there, however, as de Blob is now coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 14.
For those who don’t know, de Blob is a game in which the evil I.N.K.T. Corporation have declared that colour is a crime and have sucked all of the colour out of Chroma City. It’s up to the player, as de Blob, to bring colour back to the world by bouncing and smashing their way through the city and the I.N.K.T. Corp, to save the city from a monochrome life.
Players will be able to free citizens and join the Colour Revolutionaries as they rebel against Comrade Black to bring colour back to the world. In addition to the single player campaign, de Blob also has a handful of multiplayer modes in which upto four players can compete for control over Chroma City.
