New Far Cry 5 Trailer Shares More on Co-op Play

Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer for Far Cry 5 which reveals more about the game’s “friends for hire” co-op mode.

As soon as players have finished the tutorial for Far Cry 5, they can invite their friends to join them in the fight against Project Eden’s Gate cult thanks to the online co-op mode which is available from launch.

All earned experience and inventory items, excluding quest-based items, will carry over after each co-op play session. During each co-op session players will see and collect their own loot, however the host player is the one who’ll retain the progress, so if you plan on playing through the entire game with a friend, you’ll have to be sure to always play with them.

In addition to the “Friends for Hire” feature, the host player can still recruit “Guns for Hire” and “Fangs for Hire” giving players and advantage during the game.

Far Cry 5 will be available February 27, 2018 on PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, and Windows PC.
