Electronic Arts has revealed just how long (or short) the campaign for Star Wars Battlefront 2 may be, and it might be pretty disappointing for some.
While Star Wars Battlefront had zero single player options, EA and DICE hope to change that with the inclusion of a campaign in Battlefront 2. However, despite putting plenty of effort into the story that sees the Inferno Squad retaliate against the Rebellion for destroying the second Death Star, it isn’t going to last for too long.
In an interview with Press Start, producer David Robillard said:
“We thought that around 5-7, maybe 8 hours is probably a good amount of time.We wanted to stay very driven towards the Star Wars fantasy that the players are going to experience and not have it be drawn out.”
It’s unlikely that the story will be expanded through DLC, however Robillard revealed that it depends entirely how the single player campaign is received, but even then it may not happen.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is set to launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 7.
