Electronic Arts and DICE have unveiled a brand new trailer for Star Wars Battlefront 2 which highlights the game’s anticipated single player campaign.
It comes as no surprise that when EA and DICE launched Star Wars Battlefront back in 2015, there were mixed reactions to the game’s lack of single player content. The game was a multiplayer shooter, which for many, got old incredibly quickly. Now, a few years later, the two companies are back to prove that they can make a decent single player campaign in the Star Wars universe.
In Star Wars Battlefront 2 players will be able to get down and dirty in several iconic locations from the Star Wars universe, there’ll also be the appearance of several memorable characters from the movie series that’ll surely please fans.
In the campaign, players will take the role of Iden Versio, who’s initially rescued from a Rebel jail by her droid pal. In the trailer below, the story is the set up with the Emperor ordering Admiral Versio to unleash the Inferno Squad. We then get a glimpse of The Death Star II, before it’s destroyed, which causes the Inferno Squad to set the Rebellion even further in their sights.
Honestly, it sounds like it could be a pretty fun campaign, especially considering the multiplayer aspect is largely the same as before, except with some added content and space battles. And, considering EA has just closed Visceral Games this is likely the best single player content we’re going to get in the Star Wars universe.
