Esports Industry Awards 2017 Winners Announced

Last night was host to the second annual Esports Industry Awards which saw guests from across the gaming, entertainment, and sport industry come together to celebrate this incredibly popular new form of sporting.

This year’s event saw a total of 600,000 votes recognising some outstanding achievements in the esports industry over the last year where PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has dominated game streaming services giving it the award for Breakthrough Game of the Year.

The event also awarded personalities across esports and game streaming such as Dr.Disrespect, Megan “RheingoldRiver” Cutrofello, and Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere, and more.

  • Streaming Platform of the Year – Twitch
  • Esports Broadcaster of the Year – Alex ‘Machine’ Richardson
