Bluehole, the developers behind the incredibly popular battle royale game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, has announced a brand new MMORPG, Ascent: Infinite Realms.
Ascent: Infinite Realms, or A:IR for short, is a brand new MMORPG that’ll be published in the west by Kakao Games. The game is set to blend steampunk with high fantasy magical elements as well as massive Realm vs Realm aerial combat which will see massive ships battle against one another.
A trailer for A:IR has been released, which you can see below, and from the looks of it, it’s going to be pretty damn epic.
What looks to be primarily a third-person MMORPG, players will be able to battle huge monsters, build settlements, as well as fly through the game’s vast landscapes, among other things. It’s definitely worth checking out.
Kakao Games expects the first beta test for Ascent: Infinite Realm to take place in the first half of 2018.
Minsung Kim, CEO of Kakao Games Europe, said: “All of us at Kakao Games are very proud to be able to work with the remarkable talent at Bluehole and bring their new AAA MMORPG to Western audiences. We are confident that we can localize their creative vision effectively and help make A:IR into a massive global success.”
Unfortunately there’s no release window set for the game.
