It’s being reported that new Overwatch hero, Moira, is set to arrive in the game today ahead of the free weekend which begins later this evening.

Blizzard is reportedly planning to throw Moira into the mix this weekend in time for the free weekend. The reason for the speculation comes from Blizzard’s push to promote this weekend’s event with a number of billboards and advertisements across some major US cities.

What’s more, when Blizzard announced the free weekend the company added that players will be able to play with “all 26 heroes” during the event. There are currently only 25 officially playable in the standard game. This would suggest that Moira would be arriving ahead of the event.

Adding to this speculation is Overwatch lead software engineer Bill Warnecke hinting on Discord that “I don’t think we’ve posted the official date yet but you won’t have to wait much longer,” in relation to Moira’s release. When the screenshot was posted on reddit, Warnecke also made an appearance reiterating his statement of “Soon.”
