PUBG Inc, have revealed a number of new screenshots for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) which show off the game’s upcoming desert map that’ll launch with version 1.0, and it looks… interesting.
In a handful of new screenshots we get a good idea of what to expect when version 1.0 of PUBG launches later this year. As you can see there seem to be plenty of tricky mountainous areas that’ll likely be home to hopeful snipers in the game. There are also a number of little settlements surrounded by higher ground which could provide cover for those who like to lay low.
There are also plenty of new buildings to explore, which is refreshing. I’m sure, like me, plenty of players are sick of the same old buildings with the same old interior. This new map will likely add some freshness to the game.
Check out the screenshots below:
In other PUBG news, it seems the latest test server patch has been data mined to reveal some more information about the upcoming version 1.0. Along with the addition of vaulting mechanics and improved vehicle handling, the test server is also host to a few more features and thanks to data miners routing around, we now know the layout of the new desert map.
While the map itself isn’t included in the test server version, PUBG Inc seem to have left what appears to be the almost-final layout of the map, which includes town names and road layouts. You can see that below:
In addition it looks like the game will be getting not only a new land vehicle, but a new water vehicle too in the form of a jet ski – something players have been asking for, for a while now.

With version 1.0 heading to test servers it’s looking likely that we’ll see the update before the end of the year, hopefully along side the launch of the Xbox One version of PUBG which launches on December 12.
