The Good Place has been renewed for a third season, NBC has confirmed, which is fantastic news for the series which is currently sitting at 100 on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Good Place is currently mid-way through its second season which airs on NBC’s Thursday timeslot and is added to Netflix on Fridays. The series is doing incredibly well for itself both critically and with fans. The season to date has a solid 2.0 rating, and the second season sits at 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

For those who are yet to dive into the wonderfully weird show, The Good Place stars Ted Danson, Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto, and D’Arcy Carden. Bell, who plays Eleanor, has died and has awoken in the afterlife which is overseen by Danson’s Michael, and is inhabited by other seemingly good people. But not all is what it seems…

NBC has ordered 13 episodes for season 3. There’s currently no air date for the third season. The second half of season two on the other hand begins again on January 4.
