In an interview, Tony Hawk has revealed that despite his contract being up with Activision, he’d totally make a new game.

In the latest episode of Wired’s “Tech Support” Tony Hawk answered a handful of Twitter questions about skating, how to pull of tricks, and other things. In amongst those questions one user asked whether a new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game was on the cards.

In response, Hawk stated that while the contract between him and Activison is up, he’d be down to make a new game.

“My contract is up with Activision, they own the license to that actual name; Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater,” he said. “If we could come to some new agreement, absolutely, yes, I’m in!”

The latest and final game in the series was Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 and it was a colossal disappointment, the game felt rushed and was a complete buggy mess so the likelihood of Activision actually agreeing to make another game seems pretty slim.

What’s more, Neversoft, the developer behind the last couple of great games in the series were shut down by Activision and staff members were absorbed into other companies like Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward.

All hope is not lost for another great skate game though, as Session is currently winning over the hearts of skateboarding fans across the globe.
