Digital Extremes has announced that its hotly anticipated expansion, Plains of Eidolon, will be launching on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 14.
Warframe’s Plains of Eidolon has already made a splash on PC where it pushed the game’s player numbers to new heights, and now it’s coming to consoles. The new expansion introduces the first open-world area to the game in the form of the Open Zone which offers a huge new landscape for players to explore.
The Open Zone features both day and night cycles each of which offers its own unique aspects. During the day players can explore the vast landscape along with 50 other players, but when night drops, all hell breaks loose as huge night-time battles will take place as only the most experienced Tenno have the ability to defeat the Eidolon.
This new experience has won players over, causing the PC version to almost double its player numbers and achieve an all-time high concurrent player record. It’s definitely worth jumping back into if you haven’t already, and if you haven’t, what better way to start?
