Call of Duty: WW2 Winter Event Brings Back Gun Game

Call of Duty: WW2 players are in for a treat this Holiday as Activision and Sledgehammer Games are holding the Winter Siege event that’ll bring a bunch of new stuff to the game.

Starting December 8 through to January 2, 2018, the Winter Siege event will bring winter-themed items and maps to the game as well as the return of Gun Game, absolutely free! The event kicks off with the first of a number of free loot boxes that’ll be dished out each week, as well as a makeover to the game’s social space, Headquarters.

Speaking of which, a new Quatermaster will arrive in the form of Captain Butcher who’ll be offering an array of winter-themed Division uniforms, cosmetic items, and weapon variants.

In addition to this, players will all be able to jump into the Cerentan map, which was originally only available to Call of Duty: WW2 Season Pass holders, however it’ll look a little different as it’ll have a nice dusting of Christmas on top – lovely. This map will be available to all at no additional cost.

Finally, Call of Duty: WW2 will be seeing the return of Gun Game, a fan-favourite mode that sees players cycling through a series of different weapons as they take down their opponents. The event will also see a number of double XP playlists, new Weekly Orders, Weekly Contracts, and Daily Order challenges.

Check out an overview of the event below, and a full rundown of all of the events taking place can be found on the game’s website.
