Pokémon Go‘s Pokédex is about to get a little bigger as Niantic have announced that fifty new Pokémon are coming to the game from Generation 3.
Following the release of a handful of spooky Pokémon from Gen. 3, Niantic have decided to treat us a little early this Christmas with 50 more monsters from the Hoenn region. This includes starters such as Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, as well as a number of others found in the Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire games.
In addition, new dynamic weather will be coming to Pokémon Go which will change the way players play the game. This weather will be based on the players’ local weather and will impact Pokémon in a number of ways. For example, rainy days will increase the chances of finding water Pokemon, and sunny days will make fire attacks more effective, among other things.
This new mechanic will completely shake up the meta game as commonly used Pokémon will become a little less useful during certain conditions. Very interesting indeed.
