Disney have unveiled their upcoming release calendar for the coming year’s biggest hits, including a new Avengers, and of course the Han Solo movie.

Disney has had a pretty busy year, with the acquisition of 21st Century Fox, the launch of Coco and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and who could forget the relaunch of DuckTales? And The House of Mouse shows no signs of slowing down as it’s got a jam-packed year ahead.

In 2018 we can expect a huge number of blockbusters starting with Black Panther which hits theatres on February 26, 2018. While I’m incredibly behind with Marvel movies, this one seems to be the least hyped release of them all.

Following this, A Wrinkle in Time is set to hit theatres on March 9. This movie will be based off of the novel by Madeleine L’Engle and will star Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon, and Chris Pine.

Avengers: Infinity War launches on May 4, whereas Solo: A Star Wars Story will be launching on May 25. Looks like Disney missed a prime opportunity to release a Star Wars movie on May 4, but hey, who am I to judge, I’m not the one releasing two massive blockbusters in May…

Also in Summer we’ve got Disney Pixar’s big hit of the year with The Incredibles 2 – not Toy Story 4 like we’d hoped, that got pushed back into 2019.

If you haven’t had enough Marvel at this point, Ant-Man and The Wasp will be heating theatres on July 6. This is then followed by Disney’s currently unnamed Christopher Robin movie, which lands in cinemas on August 3.

Moving onto November, we’ve got the live-action Mulan, as well as Nutcracker and the Four Realms (whose trailer has just launched), both landing on November 2. Then later in November, on November 21, we’ve got the anticipated Wreck it Ralph sequel, Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2.

And, my personally anticipated release, coming on Christmas Day (December 25), is Mary Poppins Returns. I’m excited yet somewhat apprehensive as to whether a sequel could really work, but I have my fingers crossed.
