DC fans, rejoice: there’s another sneak peak at 2018’s Aquaman out now.

The sneak peak comes in the form of a still which was a part of an Entertainment Weekly “First Look” feature. Jason Momoa (who plays the aquatic hero) stands shirtless, looking buff as ever, in a vaguely industrial room full of steam. Some have speculated that Momoa is meant to be inside of a submarine.

Director James Wan (The Conjuring) said that his upcoming film will “look very different [and] it will feel very different” than The Justice League (2017), which marked Aquaman’s official film introduction. It will be more in line with a traditional action-adventure sort of movie, and will cover the meeting and fates of Arthur Curry’s (Aquaman’s given name) parents, his struggles as a half-human, half-Atlantean youth, and finally his life as the superhero we know him as.

Although Aquaman is usually the butt of superhero jokes, Wan said that only inspired him, adding, “Let’s take the character everyone makes fun of and do something really interesting with him.”

Aquaman will be out on Dec 21, 2018.
