Overkill’s The Walking Dead is starting to shape up, and at The Game Awards the developer unveiled a new cinematic trailer and a release window.
Set to hit PC and consoles in Fall 2018, Overkill’s The Walking Dead will feature four playable characters that’ll each have their own abilities, progression, roles, and background stories. The first of which, called Aidan, is a spiked bat-wielding character who used to be an architect. Chances are, his unique abilities may have something to do with navigating the city.
Much like the Payday series, Overkill’s The Walking Dead is set to be a co-op multiplayer shooter set within the familiar zombie outbreak from the comics by Robert Kirkman.
“In this test of strategy and endurance, players will band together with up to three friends on a variety of missions and raids, securing supplies and survivors to strengthen their base camp against the threat of both the dead and the living – by any means necessary,” Overkill said in a release.
