PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, a.k.a. PUBG, is having a bit of a rocky time on Xbox One, however that hasn’t stopped over one million players from diving into the game.

Despite its glaring flaws, Microsoft has been keen to point out that PUBG has managed to rack up an impressive one million downloads on an Xbox One through the Game Preview Program in just 48 hours.

That’s pretty impressive considering, but also hardly surprising as the PC version of the game has surpassed 20 million sales, and then some. While the Xbox One version is currently poorly optimised, the game is set to get a series of enhancements, content updates – including the new Miramar desert map, and optimisations.

Microsoft has also revealed that it’s offering a copy of PUBG for free to anyone who purchases an [amazon_textlink asin=’B01GVN15IA’ text=’Xbox One X’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’n3rdabl3-21′ marketplace=’UK’ link_id=’58c19eee-e24e-11e7-9775-3b9855aebe52′] in select regions for a limited time. The promotion is set to run from December 17 through to December 31. Check with your local retailers if they’re offering the promotion, or alternatively hop onto the Microsoft Store.
