A Way Out publisher, EA Games have unveiled the release date and some other details about their upcoming title.
A Way Out, first announced at the EA E3 press conference this year, is a game that focuses on an escape from prison. That’s probably jogging a few memories but what you’ll likely remember most about this game is that you need to play it co-op. That’s right, there’s no single player in A Way Out and you plus a pal will have to work together to help two prison inmates escape their lock up.
Now we have a release date for it. A Way Out will be available for digital download on March 23 2018. Alongside the release date, developer Hazelight also announced that through a free trial of friends pass you’ll be able to play alongside a friend who hasn’t purchased it. This means that if you’re planning to play with a friend online, it’ll keep the cost down and you’ll still be able to enjoy the game. You can also play in local co-op without using friends pass.
Hazelight Founder said:
“We developed the game to be experienced with a friend on the couch, but since that isn’t possible for everyone, those who download the friend’s pass free-trial will be able to play the entire game online with a friend who owns the full game and still get an awesome experience.”
If you are planning on taking advantage of A Way Out‘s free trial then just keep in mind both players will need Xbox Live Gold or a PlayStation Plus account and PC users will need to have EA Origin.
