Vermintide 2 developer, Fatshark, has today announced that the upcoming sequel will also be coming to consoles… like you expected anything different.

Although speculations have been correct all along, today we are happy to start talking more console specifics as the Xbox One and PlayStation versions have been confirmed” says Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark in a press release today.

With Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide launching on PC and consoles, many assumed that the sequel would do too, despite Fatshark not actually announcing the game for consoles earlier this year.

Details on the console release, and the game overall, are still pretty much under wraps, however what we can expect is a brand new enemy faction coming to Vermintide 2 called Chaos, as well as fifteen new hero careers, new environments, talent trees, and the Heroic Deeds System.

Console players will be able to jump into Vermintide 2 sooner as a beta is also planned for March / April. Players can sign up now for either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

In the mean time, Fatshark has just released a brand new DLC map for Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide which should keep you tied over until Vermintide 2 launches next year.
