The Xbox One is set to get a new “Do Not Disturb” feature that’ll tell players’ friends that they’re far too busy to deal with their crap right now.
We’ve all been there, we’re watching Netflix, are far too bust in another party, yet that one friend keeps sending party invites, invites to games, and messages. In order to combat this issue, appearing offline is the only option, but not for long.
Microsoft has announced that they’re introducing a Do Not Disturb feature that’ll hopefully discourage people from sending unwanted messages and invites.
“Sometimes all you want to do is avoid all distractions and focus entirely on your game. We’ll be including a ‘Do not disturb’ online status, which will suppress notifications and let your friends know that you’re not available for another game or activity right now,” said Microsoft.
The update is currently being rolled out for those who are part of the Xbox Insider beta, after some testing the update will then roll out to everyone else.
Other features in the current preview update include improvements to the Xbox Guide which will show closest achievable Achievements and a Mini Games Hub for quick info and highlights about the game being played.
