While Star Wars Battlefront 2 might have stolen the limelight from Battlefield 1 towards the end of 2017 (and not exactly for the right reasons) it seems the game isn’t dead yet, with EA announcing some rather interesting events for the start of 2018
Between January 16 and January 22, all Battlefield 1 players can storm the Gallipoli peninsula thanks to the Battlefield 1 Turning Tides – Gallipoli Trial. This trial will also give base game owners a chance to delve into the titles two previous DLC’s, In the Name of the Tsar and They Shall not Pass.
In addition, Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners can now dig in to the North Sea campaign of Battlefield 1’s Turning Tides DLC. With the release of the Zeebrugge and Heligoland Bight maps, the British Empire Royal Marines faction, as well as the new C-Class Airship all available to players as part of the DLC’s staggered release.
Previously available only to Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners, the night map Prise de Tahure will become available to base game owners starting January 16.
Finally, and arguably most intriguing, is the following statement released on the Battlefield 1 blog: ‘The road to hell is paved with fantastic content drops. And stay tuned for fresh intel on Battlefield 1 Apocalypse – it is imminent.’ It seems we could well be getting some information on the long teased Apocalypse DLC sooner rather than later.
