Ghost Recon Wildlands has largely manage to escape any form of microtransaction model, however that’s all about to change as Ubisoft are set to introduce loot crates to the game.
Battle Crates as they’re called, will be dished out at the end of the month as part of the Extended Ops update, and will offer players the chance to grab a handful of unique cosmetic items for their characters. Each Battle Crate will be priced at 400 credits.
The good news is that each of the three items found in every crate will be unique to the player meaning no duplicates will be given, which is a plus, I guess.
When the Extended Ops update rolls out at the end of the month players will be given two free crates to give you a taste of what’s on offer. There’ll be two crates, the Spec Ops Crate and the Ghost War Crate which will be redeemable via the Ubisoft Club. Ubisoft ensures that no item received in the crate will effect gameplay or progression.
Each of the two crates are tailored to specific game modes, Spec Ops for example will offer items for the single and co-op modes, and the Ghost War crates will of-course offer items for the Ghost War mode.
