Despite PUBG being a buggy mess on Xbox One, the game has managed to find success as Microsoft has revealed that the game has hit a huge milestone of 3 million players.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) landed on Xbox One back in December, and in just a few weeks the game has managed to rack up a player base of over three million. Of course, this pails in comparison to the PC’s player figures which have exceeded 20 million, but still, it’s quite impressive considering how awful the game performs.
In the announcement over on the Microsoft News Wire
“The team at PUBG Corp. is determined to continue to improve the in-game experience for PUBG’s growing and active community and have already released four updates since the game’s launch in Xbox Game Preview on December 12.”
“You’ll continue to see regular updates roll out for PUBG on Xbox One such as this week’s addition of first-person support for solo, duo, and squads gameplay and the team is just getting started, with more updates planned that include additional game optimization and the new Miramar map – keep up-to-date by visiting PUBG Corp’s official forums,” he continued.
Of course, players would likely much rather see improvements to the server issues, crashes, and rendering problems, than new game modes.
