PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) has scored itself a whopping 4 million players on Xbox One, Microsoft has announced this week.
As more and more patches arrive for the Xbox One version of PUBG, the better that game becomes. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s at least slightly more playable than before. Despite still being an obvious work in progress, the game has managed to amass 4 million players since launch.
To celebrate this news, Microsoft is giving all players who purchase and login to the game before January 31, a whopping 30,000 Battle Point to use to purchase cosmetic crates in-game. These points will be added to players’ accounts on or after February 1, 2018.
The latest patch to hit the Xbox One version of PUBG landed a couple of days ago bringing with it the option to auto-run, as well as redefining some of the controls. Now players can simply tap Y to drop a weapon via their inventory, and can now cycle through grenades by pressing right on the D-pad. Probably the most important addition is the ability to now cancel an action while in the inventory such as taking pills or drinking an energy drink.
