Rocket League developer Psyonix has revealed that their incredibly popular car football game has surpassed 40 million players.
Rocket League has come along leaps and bounds since its launch back in July 2015. Now you’ll find the game on almost every platform since it launched on Nintendo Switch last year (we’re still waiting for the mobile release). And according to the game’s Twitter account, the game has now seen over 40 million players.
Since its launch, Rocket League has grown along with its audience, first with the introduction of new vehicles, then new modes such as Snow Day and Hoops, and outside of the game itself, the Rocket League Championship Series is offering prize pools of over $150,000.
The game’s seventh competitive season is to begin soon according to the Rocket League Twitter account, with more info coming later this month, so keep an eye out for that one.
