An Australian retailer recently listed South Park: The Fractured But Whole for the Switch.
We see accidental listings like this all the time now and while this doesn’t ALWAYS mean that an announcement is imminent or the game is definitely coming to a platform, it’s usually a pretty decent indicator that news is inbound.
No box artwork was provided for the listing but the release date was listed as March 13 2018 so we shouldn’t have to wait long to find out for definite if the game’s coming to everyone’s favourite new console.
The move would certainly fit with the wider trend of Nintendo pushing for third party games on the console and since the game is published by Ubisoft (who Nintendo trusted enough to give rights access to Mario) there’s a history there. It would also fit with the trend of Nintendo bringing games (such as DOOM) onto its platform that would historically not have been allowed to associate with the games company’s hardware.
That being said, Ubisoft previously commented that they would not be bringing the game to the Switch. When we know anything more about Fractured But Whole coming to Switch we’ll let you know, but in the meantime check our review.
