EVO 2018‘s upcoming game line-up has been confirmed and it introduces a handful of new games including Dragon Ball FighterZ.
While Dragon Ball FighterZ made an appearance at EVO 2017, it was more for attendees to get hands-on with the upcoming title. Now however, since the game has fully launched and has become pretty popular among the fighting game community (FGC) it comes as no surprise that the title is becoming one of the main attractions at the upcoming event.
The rest of the line-up contains various mainstay’s from previous events such as Tekken 7, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, and more. However there’s one big omission from the roster and that’s Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. In fact, this is the first time since the event began back in 1993 that a Capcom Vs. game hasn’t been a part of the line-up.
Given the fact that Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite was a bit of a flop, and even Capcom themselves dropped the game from the Capcom Pro Tour, it really comes as less of a surprise, but it’s still pretty shocking that it misses this event too.
Here’s the full line-up:
- Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition
- Tekken 7
- Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2
- Injustice 2
- Dragon Ball FighterZ
- Super Smash Bros. Wii U
- Super Smash Bros. Melee
- BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle
EVO 2018 will take place in Las Vegas August 3 – 5.
