Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, the most recent game in Natsume’s Harvest Moon series, will have a special edition bundle available when it is released for the Nintendo Switch.
The special edition bundle will contain Light of Hope, of course, as well as a chocolate cow plush, an animal pin set (which consists of pins of bluebirds, a cat, a cow, a chicken, a sheep, and a rather hairy horse), a hardcover farmer’s journal that features a dog, the soundtrack, and a special collector’s box.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope is similar to many other games in the series, as it contains the standard farming, foraging, and friend-making fare. In this particular entry to the series, the player character is vacationing on a boat and is caught up in a monsoon. They wash up on the shore of a harbor town that is in need of some love and care.
The game was first released on November 14, 2017 on Steam and was developed to commemorate the series’ twentieth anniversary, though fans do have hearty debates on how accurate it is for Natsume to trot out the twentieth anniversary claim. Harvest Moon games released after 2013 are unrelated to the original Japanese series (which are now released under the series name Story of Seasons).
Regardless on where you stand on that debate, the limited edition bundle is available for preorder on NIS, at the price of $64.99 before taxes and shipping and handling. There will also be a special edition at Gamestop for preorders of both the Switch and PlayStation 4 versions of the game, and while they are cheaper at $39.99, they only come with the chocolate cow plush.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope comes out on May 29, 2018.
