Mattel has announced a brand new version of Barbie, this time it’s not one who does coding, oh no, it’s one that’s set to go out on an adventure: Tomb Raider Barbie…
In an effort to promote the upcoming Tomb Raider movie, Mattel has unveiled a brand new Lara Croft doll based on the Alicia Vikander version of the character (whom herself is based on the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot).
The doll is set to launch on March 9 for $29.99 and will come with a handful of useful accessories including a map, a journal, and a little ice axe. The doll is also a part of the Barbie Signature collection and will come in special Barbie Signature movie-themed packaging.
It’s a sweet little promotion, to be fair, and looks far more entertaining than the usual video game memorabilia which usually just gathers dust on a shelf.
Tomb Raider is set to hit theatres next month and will come just before we get the official word on the next Tomb Raider game which is heavily rumoured to be titled Shadows of the Tomb Raider.
