Northgard, Shiro Games insanely popular real-time-strategy game is set to launch out of Early Access on March 7, the developer has announced this week.
Following an incredibly successful launch into Early Access, which saw the game sell over 600,000 copies, Northgard is finally set to launch just over a year later. When the game launches on March 7, players will be able to experience a brand new campaign adding to the already available six clans, single player, and multiplayer modes.
The campaign is set to span over 11 chapters where players will follow the saga of Rig who’s on a journey to avenge the death of his father, The High King of the Vikings, and recover the Regal Horn. Along with his companion Brand, the two will journey across Northgard making friends and taking down enemies as he discovers the truth behind his father’s assassination.
Over the course of the past 12 months Shiro Games have done a fantastic job in supporting the game. They’ve released regular updates as well as introducing new clans to further flesh out the game.
In our preview of Northgard, we applauded the game for its classic approach to real time strategy likening it to Age of Empires but with a new twist. You can read our full preview here.
