Sony’s Shadow of the Colossus remaster has shot straight to number one this week, pushing Monster Hunter: World all the way down to third.
Seeing as Shadow of the Colossus is over ten years old now, it comes as no surprise that gamers old and new wanted to get a hold of the game that made such an impression on players back in 2006. Interestingly, according to Chart-Track, the new PS4 version performed 73% better in terms of week-one sales.
This makes Shadow of the Colossus the eighth PS4 exclusive title to land in the top spot this year alone.
Elsewhere in the charts, EA Sports UFC 3 holds onto third place, followed by Monster Hunter: World in third. FIFA 18 and GTA 5 are also non-movers in fourth and fifth place respectively.
Call of Duty: WW2 has fallen to sixth place, followed by Mario Kart 8: Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey in seventh and eighth place. In tenth place we see The Evil Within 2 crawl its way back thanks to price promotions.
As for new releases, Dragon Quest Builders for the Nintendo Switch brings the game back into the Top Forty in thirty-first place.
